The camera database is a derivative of OpenStreetMap data merged with moderated community reports, published under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0 — the same license that keeps it free forever. Attribution: “© OpenStreetMap contributors; Stop Flock Cams Now community.” Snapshot 2026-08-24: 135,657 camera records.

What’s included

Every documented camera: coordinates, manufacturer, operator, direction, mount, status, confidence tier
County FIPS + state assignment for every record where determinable
Provenance dates: first documented, last field-confirmed, snapshot date

Rules of the road

Keep the attribution and the ODbL license notice with any redistribution.
If you improve the database and publish it, share improvements under ODbL too.
Please don’t present documented counts as complete counts — see methodology.

Agency-level records shown on state/county pages come from the EFF Atlas of Surveillance (CC BY 4.0) and are not part of the ODbL dump. A public REST API is on the roadmap.
